Bye Bye Blemishes with this Miracle Oil

Get rid of pimples

My skin has been absolutely nuts lately! I use to have fairly moderate acne in high school and college and once I went on birth control in college, my acne reduced dramatically to the point where I would only see the occasional pimple around “that” time of the month. Now I see pimples very often, anytime of the month, just whenever they feel like appearing.  Personally, I don’t like putting any chemicals on my face, because my face is extremely sensitive and I had the ABSOLUTE WORSE chemical reaction from a Neutrogena product. I later learned that my skin can not handle the typical products used to treat acne (Salicylic Acid and Benzoyl Peroxide) I made a vow to find natural products since. I have desperately been on a quest to find the perfect skin care regimen for my ever changing skin. While I am still on this journey, I have found a product that is now a staple & will never leave my side because, it’s a LIFE SAVER. This wonderful product is Tea Tree Oil.

Tea Tree Oil

Why it Works
Tea Tree Oil is a natural antiseptic that easily kills bacteria to rid the skin of infections. Due to it's healing properties, it can help get rid of pimples, fungus as well as clean minor cuts and abrasions.

How I use it:
I’ve used this three different ways:
One: Dip a cotton swab into the bottle and dab it on the active pimple as a spot treatment
Two: Use a cotton ball and pour a TINY amount of tea tree oil (no more than a pea size amount.. literally) and put all over my face
Three: Mix with my face wash or my face mask

Heads up:
1. BEWARE THE STRONG SMELL
The smell of this stuff is so strong! If you sleep next to someone at night they may be quite annoyed. It smells like..a mix of pine on steroids and menthol. STRONG (you will get use to it eventually). If I put to much on, you can smell it in the hallway with my door closed. So you have been warned.

2. DILUTE DILUTE DILUTE
Do not, I repeat DO NOT put this stuff on your face without diluting it first. It will dry out your skin tremendously and make it look like you have burns on your face. As time goes on feel free to use it undiluted but I would in no means recommend your first couple of times doing this to be undiluted.

This will sting a tiny bit depending on how sensitive your skin is & if you have any open wounds so don’t be alarmed. If it's burning to the point where you feel like your face is in the pits of hell... go rinse it off, it means you didn’t dilute it enough.

3. DO NOT GET NEAR YOUR EYES!
Obviously no one would willingly put anything near their eyes that would irritate them , but even if you decide to put it say, down the bridge of your nose for example, your eyes will water and its extremely annoying so I recommend you keep it away from those areas. I usually only use this around my cheeks and by my forehead.

4. TOXIC TO PETS
This may seem random and maybe a bit obvious but I know my dog will try and lick any thing he smells new and he always wants to give his idea of "kisses". So I usually keep him out of the room when I put this on my face at night.

5. DO NOT SWALLOW
I know you're probably thinking, "well DUH why would I swallow this?", but some people recommend that tea tree oil be used as a mouthwash. Personally, I would NOT do this, but some have found this effective. If swallowed, tea tree oil can cause hallucinations, drowsiness, upset stomach and diarrhea. Enough to make me keep this stuff away from my mouth.

I hope this was helpful. Don’t hesitate to leave me a comment if you have any questions.

Love you all!
