February Top 5 Favorites

It's finally time for my February favorites! I'm pretty excited to talk about all the products I've found this month because I've fell in love with every single new product I tried and it was hard to choose five products I wanted to talk about here. Even though February was pretty short, I've tried a bunch but these five products were the ones that stood out the most. Let's get to it !

Okay, I'll admit, I've been on Youtube quite a bit and have seen many vloggers discussing this foundation; I gave in. This foundation blew my mind to say the least. It's a foundation that is actually  water proof as it claims; so waterproof that getting it off was a bit...fun. The color selection at my local drugstore wasn't the best, but we know how that goes. I did however, go online and found additional shades that weren't in stores near me but could be shipped. I honestly didn't think the shade I picked up at Walmart would match perfectly,  but to my surprise, it was a winner. I've worn this to work and it passed my 10 hour test, and didn't cause any breakouts which usually doesn't happen for me. Also, the finish is pretty matte which is wonderful.

Before I rant and rave, honestly, have you ever seen such a long name for a tweezer? I for sure haven't. This is my first time using pointed tweezers and I loved it. I went to Ulta and of course there were other options but I just couldn't wrap my head around paying $25 for a tweezer that I know that I would lose in less than 10 days, since tweezers disappear in my house like socks that go missing from the dryer. These tweezers were able to reach the tiniest of hairs and pull them out effortlessly. They may look really sharp, but I promise you, they don't hurt.

003. KAE POP - ULTRA MATTE LIP IN CHI
Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of Karrueche (Kay-Roo-Chi) Tran, and an even bigger fan of this matte liquid lipstick she created in a collab with Colour Pop. It's a nude beige, but not the kind of nude beige that makes you look like you've applied your concealer to your lips and then put a clear gloss on top (it's okay we've all done it). It's a very flattering color; so flattering that I've been wearing it to work since I got it. I may be a tad bit obsessed... just a bit. It lasts through out my work day and makes it through breakfast and lunch and even a nap by the time I get home, so any lipstick that can last for 12+ hours goes down in my book as a keeper. I'll be creating a look with this soon, so keep an eye out for swatches.

004. MAC COSMETICS FLAMINGO PARK - ROSE PIGMENT
My first time ever purchasing a MAC pigment and I can guarantee you this won't be my last. This pigment is so beautiful and reflects gold, almost reminds me of a duo chrome pigment, which I can't seem to get enough of.

005. ALL NATURAL - AFRICAN BLACK SOAP
Okay, so I've used this soap a few years ago and had a terrible reaction to it due to using it improperly. I decided to pick it up again and use it the correct way (do not rub the bar directly against your skin) and it has cleared up my acne better than anything I've ever used. It leaves your face feeling squeaky clean, literally, without over-drying. I've managed to lighten some acne scarring and  clear up those annoying under the skin bumps all in a few short weeks, three to be exact. I am mind blown and I am probably never turning back. I'll be doing a skincare routine post to talk a bit about my acne and how it's cleared it drastically in the near future so hang in there I'll share soon.

That's it for this month. What products did you fall in love with this month?

  1. The Milani foundation sounds brilliant. I wish it were easier to get here in the Uk. I've been loving the Becca Backlight primer and the Loreal Sculpt blushes :) xx

    1. I haven't tried the Becca Backlight primer, but I'm currently looking for a new primer so I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the recommendation!
